U14 & Younger Player Tryouts

2026-27 SVA Teams

 

Players attending this tryout will be eligible to be selected for the below SVA teams.

 

U11 Regional Team – Co-Coaches Joe and Gen Baleto

  - 1 practice a week on Fridays, 4:30-6:30pm, November-April

  - 1 Tournament per month

 

U12 Regional Team – Coach Joe Baleto

  - 2 practices a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30-6:00pm, November-April

  - 1-2 Tournaments per month

 

U13 National Team – Co-Coaches David Tsay and Alida Muongchan

  - 2 practices a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm, November-May

  - 2 Tournaments per month

 

U14 Development Team – Coach Steph Papke

  - 1 practice a week on Sundays, 5:00-7:00pm, November-March

  - 1 Scrimmage per month

 

U14 National Team – Coach Junior Kitiona

  - 2 practices a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30-6:30pm, November-May

  - 2-3 Tournaments per month

All participants must have purchased a tryout membership through the Puget Sound Region/USAV to attend tryouts.

All interested players must complete the following steps prior to participating in any form of tryouts, practice, or competition.

​

  1. Please review the USA Volleyball Junior Player Age Definition Chart before registering for tryouts.

  2. Fill out and submit the online registration.

  3. Sign and date the online WAA/GTA Athletic Waiver.

  4. Read, print out, and sign a hard copy of the USAV Medical Authorization Form and turn it in at Tryouts.

  5. Read, print out, and sign a hard copy of the USAV/PSRV Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form and turn it in at Tryouts.

*PSR Letter of Commitment waiting period for all ages & genders is now 48 hours

  • Be sure your USAV membership is current. All participants (players, coaches, administrators, etc.) must have a current USAV membership to attend tryouts. 

 

  • Register online for Seattle Volleyball Academy Tryouts. Directions and links are below.

 

  • Read, print out, and sign a hard copy of the USAV Medical Authorization Form located here. You will bring this form to Tryouts.

 

  • Read, print out and sign a hard copy of the USAV/PSRV Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form located here. You will bring this form to Tryouts.

 

TRYOUT DAY:

 

  • Please come on time​

 

  • Bring a signed hard copy of the USAV Medical Authorization Form

 

  • Bring a signed hard copy of your USAV/PSRV Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form

 

  • Have fun!

Please read through all steps before proceeding with the registration process.

 

  • When registering for the first time, it may be helpful to have the following information handy – doctor information, health insurance information, and Emergency Contact information. ​

 

  • Click on the appropriate link according to your player’s league age. Fill out your account information and complete the registration form for your player. If a question does not apply, please use N/A. Be sure to sign the four online waivers and pay the non-refundable $25.00 tryout fee.
